We feel blessed to have had an excellent track record thus far. We used to have cent per cent placements before 1991, but it was never less than 70 per cent between 1991 and 1997. Although the state-wide ban on new recruitments existent since 1997 had had its impact on placements, our students have found gainful employment between then and now, either on full-time, ad hoc, or contractual basis in the ever-increasing number of self-financing institutions coming up year after year. 26 of our students from various batches took the Class-II Services Examinations conducted by the GPSC, and were called for interviews.
Pride of the Department
The Department of Technical Education recently put on its website www.dte.gswan.gov.in the list of candidates who were successful both in passing the GPSC Class-II Examination for Assistant Professorship and the subsequent interviews. Of the 19 of them who cleared both the stages, 9 have received their postings as Assistant Professors of Language and Communication in Government Engineering Colleges, and 6 (including 2 posted in colleges) as Lecturers in Language and Communication in Government Polytechnics across Gujarat State. Given below are the names and places of postings of our students who had taken their MA, MPhil, and/or PhD degrees from this Department.
