Sardar Patel University (SPU), named after Vallabhbhai Patel, was founded in December 1955. The governing motto of SPU “Character and Conduct are the Fruits of the Learning” has diversified into Excellence matters to cope up with the demands of current times.

In 2016 Prof. Shirishbhai Kulkarni joined Sardar Patel University as Vice Chancellor with his dream of opening a Department of Law in SPU and finally this dream has come true in 2018. It offers the courses at P.G. level.

Legal Education provides opportunity for professional development of career in law. The aim of starting this Post Graduate course i.e. LLM in Business Law is to cater to the advanced knowledge and enhanced skill based education for the Post Graduate degree in law.

P.G. Department of Law offers an opportunity for learning and professional development through excellent academic curriculum and contribution of experienced Faculty, Visiting Professors, Eminent Lawyers, and Judges.

I feel honored to be a part of this venture and contribute in the realization of the project envisaged by our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Sardar Patel University. Ample opportunities are provided to the law aspirants to pursue their goals in academic and research field.
