MCA |
Admissions and Eligibility: Admissions and eligibility criteria for the MCA programme (both grant-in-aid and self-financed) are governed by the admissions committee formed by the Gujarat State Government. Admissions to MCA are given based on the CMAT score through ACPC. Candidates have to carry out the procedure as indicated by the committee and may indicate a preference for taking admission in the MCA programme of the Department. The Department does not have NRI seats or management quota. |
PGDCA |
Admissions and Eligibility: Candidates for admission to P.G. Diploma in Computer Science and Applications (PGDCA) must have passed a Bachelor’s degree examination (under 10+2+3 pattern) of this University or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by this university. a. Applications of candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be processed. b. SC/ST/NT/DNT/PH/OBC and BP candidates only from the State of Gujarat will be considered for admission against the reserved seats in PGDCA courses as per the rules of Government of Gujarat in force from time to time. |
MSc (Information Technology) |
Admissions and Eligibility:. A candidate who has passed B.Sc.(Information Technology)/B.Sc.(Computer Science)/BCA/ B.Sc.(CA & IT)/B.Sc.(Information Science)/ BE(CE)/BE(IT)/ BBA(ITM)/BBA(ISM)/Any Graduate with PGDCA or PGDCAA/Any Science graduate who has cleared at least 3 papers related to computer science at graduate level/ Any Graduate who has cleared at least 4 papers related to computer science (for total of 12 credits) at graduate level from a recognized university may apply for admission to M. Sc. (Information Technology) Programme. Preference will be given to computer graduates. Admissions: Admission will be given based on merit of marks secured in qualifying degree. |
PhD |
Admissions and Eligibility: Candidates who have completed: A 1-year/2-semester master’s degree programme after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme or a 2-year/4-semester master’s degree programme after a 3-year bachelor’s degree programme or qualifications declared equivalent to the master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed are eligible for admission. Minimum eligibility does not ensure secured admission. Admissions to Ph.D. programme are given through entrance test conducted by the university twice in a year. Candidates having cleared NET/SLET are exempted from clearing the entrance test. Entrance test is followed by a personal interview/counselling of the eligible candidates by the research committee, and only subject to the availability of an appropriate guide in the subject area in which the candidate intends to work and to the availability of vacant seats in the subject area, the admissions would be granted. |
