Future Plans

We propose to (a) devise a strategy to help inculcate the habit of good record-keeping in all sections and Departments of the University; (b) develop strategies to help make teacher self-appraisal and student-evaluation of teachers a habit among our fellow teachers; (c) to introduce a ‘Class Guide and Mentor System’ with each teacher being assigned a given number of students for educational-cum-personal guidance; (d) introduce and implement a system that will encourage cooperative/collaborative groups of strong and weak learners to slow learners get help in their studies from better performers; (e) create and use a post-entrance diagnostic tests to assess the aptitude of students and assessments and frequent interactions; (f) give fresh impetus to the University and Industry Interaction (U&I Interaction) Cell established in 2005 in the university to generate revenue by offering consultancy services to the industry; (g) seek collaborations not just for the sake of collaborations but for active engagement and mutual benefit in the spirit of what our founder Vice Chancellor, Shri Bhaikaka called ‘enlightened self-interest’; and (h) focus on the provision of infrastructure facilities in some Departments and modernisation of infrastructure facilities in some other.
