Dr. Anagha Bhat, a freelance archaeologist and sculptor, took sessions on Time, took Past and the Concepts of History on 21-22 February 2018 under the I. A. Patel Shertha Visiting Lecture scheme.

The Department organised a national conference, Gyansangam, onइतिहासकीभारतीयदृष्टि from 8-9 September 2018, in which around 370 participants from various parts of India participated.

A short-term course of one week on History and Culture at the HRDC, SPU was arranged from 7 through 12 January 2019.

Indumatiben Katdare delivered a lecture on Indian Idea of Research: Method and Nature on 31 January 2019 under the I. A. Patel Shertha Visiting Lecture scheme.

A lecture-cum-display was arranged on Archives and Documents: As Source of History by Jitendra Shah on27 December 2019.
