About U&I Interaction Cell
With emergence of free market economy, considerable emphasis is being given, the
world over, for the close co-operation between industry and universities. With this in
mind, University-Industry Interaction Cell (U&I Interaction Cell) has been established
at Sardar Patel University to promote co-operation amongst Faculty members of the
University and the leaders of the Industry to achieve technical proficiency and excellence
under the present scenario of global competition and challenges.Objectives
The U&I Interaction Cell works with the following specific objectives:
- To create data base on Need Analysis of Industries in the state.
- To create database on expertise/facilities on the campus
- To co-ordinate R & D projects/ consultancy/ sponsored
projects/problem solving between University Departments and Industries in the area of
Product/Process development and technology transfer.
- To assist in signing of MOU, promote patent awareness and development
of IPR/Patents by the University faculty based on their products and processes.
- To help testing/material characterisation.
- To offer training programmes relating to professionally oriented
fields for small/medium scale industries.
- To keep liaison with various funding agencies and Govt.
organisations.
