Research & Development
Faculty members are actively engaged in research activities like guiding the students, writing the papers and taking the research projects. So far about 213 students have been guided to write their Dissertation in various fields like computer applications, computer software, citation index, abstracting, bibliometric, to prepare bibliographies etc, Abstracting indexing Biography sculptures etc.

As a part of study in more than 213 MLISc and 42 MPhil Dissertation work are completed.

Faculty members delivered their expert lactures at various Universities as a Visiting Fellows on different aspects and topics such as Information Retrieval Models, Instituational Repository, Knowledge Management, Information Literacy, TQM, Bibliometrics, Webometrics, Citation Analysis and Impact Factor etc.

Publication


 Faculty members have also published their papers in journals, seminars, conferences, symposium of National and International level. They are also actively participated to publish the books in vernacular literature; number of books are written and edited by the faculty members. Number of monographs and research articles are also published on various subjects like standardization, Digital library, library movement, TQM, Vernacular literature, terminology, users’ survey, library and Information Science education, teaching methods, libraries in 21st Century, citation index, indexing etc. The Department has published 13 books and 21 papers.
