Name:

The name of the association shall be GHPIBM Alumni Association.

Aims & Objectives:
  1. To assist its members to keep in touch with GHPIBM and with each other.
  2. To promote the interests of GHPIBM.
  3. To raise and hold funds in addition to subscription income for fulfillment of the objectives of the Association.
  4. To organize events in order to increase interaction among the members.
Membership:
  1. All the GHPIBM its Postgraduates/ Doctoral degree holders holding degree of GHPIBM at Sardar Patel University shall automatically members of the Association.
  2. Other persons associated with GHPIBM shall be eligible for membership of the associated on the basis of individual application, and assessment by the Management Committee.
  3. The membership fee will be as under:-
    Annual fee: - Rs. 100
    Life membership fee: - Rs. 500
Management Committee:

The Management Committee shall have three members – a chairperson Secretary and a Treasurer. The Head of the department will be the chairperson by virtue of his/her position. The secretary and treasurer will be sel ected unanimously fr om among the faculty of GHPIBM by the committee. The management committee shall prepare and publish annually a report of post activities and a time table of    forthcoming events and activities. The Function of the committee shall be:-

  1.         Networking
  2.         Publications
  3.         Fund Raising
  4.         Relations with students
  5.         Preparation of  General and other Meeting
  6.         Organizing Alumni Meet
Meetings:
The general meeting of the association shall take place at least once in a year on first Sunday of February every year. Amendments or additions to, or deletions fr om this constitution shall be approved by the management committee. Every officer, appointee, representative or member of staff of the Association shall be entitled to be indemnified out of the assets of the Association against all losses or liability which he/she may sustain or incur in or about executive of his/her office, or otherwise in relation thereto; provided that nothing in this clause shall effect their liability for the consequence of any negligent or dishonest act on their part.

The decision of the Chairperson on all matters pertaining to the conduct of meetings shall be final.

A REPORT ON THE ALUMNI MEET

Busy schedules and the struggle in work may not allow the students to meet up and remember their old days. But that doesn’t mean that the memories are washed off. The beautiful memories of best days are still treasured in every heart and you always wish to relive them. The alumni association of GHPIBM conducted its 12th alumni meet on 6th February 2011, Sunday. The alumni meet not only helped one to remember their past, it also helped present students to interact and establish and strengthen their ties with the alumni.

This time alumni meet had a complete traditional touch with a RANGOLI on the entrance to welcome visitors. Almost 88 of our students walked back to GHPIBM. The D- day started with a traditional welcome by applying TILAK on forehead of all the visitors. The joy of being back to college was clearly visible to the warmth and interaction between the alumni and the faculties. After the breakfast everybody moved in the auditorium. The programme was initiated with the lighting of the lamp by all the faculty members. The prayer was followed by Prof. H. J. Jani Director of the institute addressed the alumni, wh ereby he formally welcomed the alumni to alma mater.

After this much awaited session of experience sharing with Alumni was organized. After this the alumni took over and guided us on “how to overcome the problems of recession and ethics in corporate world. The present students showered many questions on Alumni. In the end performances by current students was organized.

Besides sponsoring lunch, donation of Rs. 25,000 was given to the institute by our alumni Mr. Jignesh Suryakanth Patel, who had passes out in 1992 and has settled in the United States of America since then. Prof. Jani expressed heartfelt thanks to him and everyone had LUNCH to conclude the day.
