Industry, Institutional and International links:

The research and characterization facilities available in the Department are readily made available to the users of other Departments of the university, other academic/research institutes and neighboring industries etc. Our Atomic-Molecular Physics group has established research collaboration with Prof. N. J. Mason (UK) since 2001.

Many faculty members of the Department are active members / Fellows of several academic and professional bodies at the state, national and international levels. Under the auspices of such organizations every year the Department carries out many academic programmes for primary, secondary, higher secondary, colleges and university education.

The staff members of the Department have been getting continuously different research projects from various funding agencies of the country such as UGC, CSIR, DAE, DST, ISRO, DRDO etc.

Other Activities:

Besides regular academic activities, other extra curricular activities like quizzes, seminars, workshops, poster competition, industry visit and other cultural activities are arranged by the department. The Department runs a strong physical society for   M. Sc., M. Phil and Ph. D. students for academic as well as extra curricular activities through out the year. Thus the Department is contributing effectively in physical education, research and in “outreach” activities. The Department strives hard to serve best trained to the students in its own way and will continue to do so in the future also.
