Courses for M. Phil:
  • M. Phil. Program is running under an annual system.
  • The students are required to take three theory papers (with P – 801 as compulsory) in addition to dissertation-Project on a chosen topic under the supervision of an M. Phil. Guide.
  • The distribution of 100 marks per theory paper (each of 3 credits) is as under. 30 marks for internal assessment and 70 marks for the year- end external examination.
  • The internal assessment of 30 marks will be by a seminar of 5 marks and two tests averaged to 25 marks in each theory paper.
  • The dissertation will be of 100 marks and will be assessed by the Guide and an external examiner.  Viva-voce of dissertation and theory will be of 50 marks conducted by, external examiner of dissertation, supervisor and two other faculty members of the theory courses, and will include viva-voce over theory courses taken by the student.
