NETWORK :
All the machines located in class-rooms, faculty rooms, office and laboratories are on switched Fast Ethernet LAN using cat6 cabling. The servers are on Gigabit Ethernet on a 3Com 4300 manageable switch.
INTERNET :
VSAT from ERNET, INDIA and BSNL leased line are used to get Internet connectivity. All the Departments of Sardar Patel University are connected through optical fiber lines.
Library facility:
The Departmental library, which is also linked with the central library of the University, has a large collection of latest books on Programming Tools And Methodologies, Database Management, Computer Graphics, Office Automation, Decision Support Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Architecture, Software Engineering, Data Communications, Bio-informatics, Information Systems, Web Technology etc., as also manuals for different packages.
