The objectives of the research programme are :

Conservation of endangered medicinal herbs
through ‘in vitro’ methods of propagation.
Ø
Enhancement of improved varieties in
selected medicinal plants through somaclonal variants
and induction of hairy root cultures using Agrobacterium
rhizogenes.
Ø
Isolation and molecular characterization
of Nematophagous fungi for use in IPM against Animal/Plant nematodes.
