Professor Datta Madamwar is a Microbial Biotechnologist with diverse research interests.  He directs the research programme at Sardar Patel University.  A group of research scholars conducting research under his guidance on areas ranging from Microbial Energy Production, Industrial Liquid Waste Management to Solid-State Fermentation.  The work has laid the foundation for cleaner and sustainable environment.  Dr. Madamwar also maintains a very active research programme on Non-aqueous Enzymology and has provided a concept for the use of enzyme in apolar organic solvent without the loss of enzyme activity.  He is a recipient of several awards, well traveled person.  He has established an excellent laboratory and handling several projects under his leadership funded by National agencies.  During the last a cable of decades Prof. Madamwar has published more that 85 papers dealing with a wide spectrum of subjects.

 

Reviewer of research papers for several international journals especially Applied Biochemistry & Biotechnology, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Bioresource Technology and World Journal of Microbiology and Biotechnology.
