The major areas of
Research interest is Plant and Fungal Biotechnology.
The objectives of the
research programme are:

Bioremediation of heavy metal pollutants.
·
Selection of resistant plants and identification of
specific genes involved in resistance against fungal pathogens.
·
Isolation, characterization and overexpression
of Plant L-asparaginase for the treatment of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
·
Isolation and molecular characterization of fungal biocontrol agents against animal nematode pets.
