History:

The Department of Statistics was established in the year 1961. Since its establishment the department made its name as one of the best teaching and research development in the western region. At present the department is having Six faculty members actively engaged in teaching and research.

Basic Detail of Location:


The department is housed on the second floor of the three storey building built through U.G.C.’s building rent. It is located to the south-east of University administrative block building and to the east of University central library – Bhaikaka library.

Student Strength

In P.G. Program about 170 students are studying in the Department. There are 03 M.Phil students and 14 Ph. D. students studying for their research degree. Further about 46 students are studying for various Certificate Courses.
