Learning Infrastructure

Department has seven spacious classrooms, each having a capacity to accommodate seventy students. Recently department purchased three LCD Projectors. One separate seminar hall is developed exclusively for research presentation. The department maintains OHP, audio-visual system and well-furnished conference-room. Guest talks, symposia, seminars, conferences, etc are arranged at regular intervals.

Departmental Library

The department maintains its own gymkhana library having more than 4189 books and subscribes to a good number of journals and magazines as well as Gujarati and English daily newspapers.

Computer Laboratory

A computer laboratory with Internet has been set up. Teaching, non-teaching and students are allowed to use the facilities available in computer laboratory.

Facilities for Students

There is separate boy and girl’s common rooms with separate sanitaryfacilities for them. Indoor game facilities are also arranged for students. There is a separate space for newspaper stand exclusively for students so students can read the newspapers daily.Internet and computer facilities also provided to students on limited basis particularly for the preparation of CSDS, Research Activities and Extra-Curricular activities.

Facilities for Faculties

Separate cabins have been allotted to the faculty members. Personal Computers with internet connections and printers are provided to each faculty members and non-teaching staff also avail this facility. Intercom telephone facilities also available in the department connected to all the offices and facility cabins.

Individual Achievements


  1. Dr. P. K. Rathod, Professor & Head has published 21 articles and also guided 07 Ph.D. and 25 M.Phil. students. He has successfully participated in FDP of IIMA. He was one of the nominated member of IQAC – NAAC and a member of High Power Finance Committee of Sardar Patel University by the syndicate. He is coordinator of UGC-SAP Programme at department.

  2. Dr. S. K. Bhatt, Professor has published 35 articles and participated in 48 Conferences, has guided 08 Ph.D., and 27 M.Phil students. He has completed 03 Minor Research Projects and two Major Research Project sponsored and financed by UGC, New Delhi. He is deputy coordinator of UGC-SAP Programme at department.

  3. Dr. C. K. Sonara, Professor, has published 10 articles and a book and has participated in 20 seminars/conferences. He has completed two Minor Research Projects of UGC, New Delhi. He has guided 02 Ph. D. and 19 M. Phil students.

  4. Dr. R. M. Joshi, Asso. Professor, has published 03 articles as well as attended 35 Seminars/Conferences. He has produced 01 Ph.D. and 05 M. Phil students. He has completed 2 Minor Research Projects of UGC, New Delhi. He has participated in FDP of IIM, Ahmedabad.

  5. Dr. P. R. Sheth, Asso. Professor, has written 15 articles and attended 08 seminar/conferences apart from completing of two Minor Research Projects sponsored by UGC, New Delhi. He has guided 21 M. Phil. students and 2 Ph.D. students.

  6. Dr. D. S. Mistry, Asso. Professor, has teaching experience of more than 10 years. His area of specialization is Finance and Accounting. He has published 20 articles on these topics in the peer reviewed journals having ISSN/ISBN numbers. He is a life member of Indian Commerce Association.

  7. Dr. Y. M. Dalvadi, Asst. Professor presented papers in five National levels and two International Seminar including All Indian Accounting Seminars also. He has three research papers in his credit. He is treasurer of Indian Accounting Association (Gujarat Branch). He received two best paper presentation awards at National Level Seminar at Rajkot and Vallabh Vidyanagar. He is also active member of Junior Chamber International – Vallabh Vidyanagar. He guided 12 M.Phil. students.
