Report on Seminar on Human Development January 2017


2019

  1. On 4th October 2019, Business Standard with assistance from the social club of GHPIBM organised a quiz competition for the graduating students of GHPIBM. The motive behind
    organising such quiz competition was to test the general awareness about the world of business and management. Business Standard has been providing various platforms to the students of GHPIBM to showcase their talent and also encourages them to remain updated with happenings around the world. A total of 80 students participated in the quiz and the top three performers were awarded.
  2. UTI Mutual Funds & Khushi Investments organized a Seminar for the students of GHPIBM on 20th September 2019. The central theme of the seminar was “Present Market Scenario & Financial Management" with the aim to provide the students and other members who came to attend the seminar about the latest happenings in the market and it's trends. The speaker was Mr. Mukesh Patel who has more than 14 years of experience of serving as a financial advisor. He gave valuable insights to make the audience aware about the mutual fund industry in India. He also threw some light on the basic principles of investing and explained the benefits of various investments.
  3. GHPIBM, Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar espouse the cause of Sustainable development and attempts to imbibe and inculcate this in minds and hearts of its students. During last fortnight it organized tree plantation programme for contributing to better environment. Only fruit trees are planted in the campus for all living beings to flourish in harmony. Importance of tree plantation has been stressed upon time and again. The faculties and students selected the empty places in the campus to plant the saplings in a well organized way. In the same vain for sustainable development GHPIBM is organizing a National Doctoral Colloquium for continued research for sustainable development of rural and urban areas on 19 th October, 2019. During such activities leadership is provided by faculty which is
    well complimented actively by students. The programme created a good stir among academic circle and the general public.
  4. GHPIBM celebrates 'Ratri before Navratri'. An evening full of zeal and excitement of the festival way before the actual festival starts. The enthusiastic GHPIBMians attired in traditional dresses added to the festive mood. The celebration started by seeking the blessings from Goddess Durga to protect against the evil. Everyone danced to the rhythmic garba beats.The social group managed and coordinated the entire event. Arrangements for snacks was also made available after the garba.At the end, various prizes were distributed to the top performers by the faculty members. Joint efforts of all the faculties and students of GHPIBM made the event successful.
  5. GHPIBM celebrates Teacher's day. A day dedicated to teachers and their contributions in shaping one's life. The celebration began with University Song and floral felicitation of all the
    faculty members by the students. The entire department felicitated Sh. Maganbhai, who is
    responsible for the cleanliness and routine maintenance activities of the campus to facilitate
    teaching learning process. The students gave presentations on the life stories of great teachers
    of India and their thoughts Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Swami Vivekananda and Dr. Amartya Sen. Dr. Yogesh C. Joshi, Dean Faculty of Management, Dr. Rajnikant Patel Ex Dean and Sh. BRM Rao Visiting faculty presented their thoughts faculty members gave blessings to all the students. The cake cutting ceremony marked the end of the gala ceremony. Such events for a time being are a source of knowledge, joy and enthusiasm.

3. A workshop on "Writing good Research Paper" was organized on 18th December 2015, Dr. Ravindra Jain , Vikram University Ujjain worked as resource person at work shop.

4. A lecture by Prof. C. K. Patel, Switzerland was organised on the topic "India, WTO and International Trade" on 20 January 2015.

5. A Guest lecture by Dr. Seema Joshi was organised on " IMF and Funding for Balance of Payment difficulties" on 1 January 2015.

    1. A two-day UGC Sponsored National Seminar was organized on “Consumer Research in India” during January. 19-20, 2007. Prof. P. N. Mishra, Director IIPM Devi Ahilya University, Indore, delivered the Keynote address and Prof. Atul Tandon, Director, MICA delivered the valedictory address. About 100 delegates attended the seminar. A One-day workshop on “Financial Derivatives” was conducted on 26th February, 2007 for the benefits of our MBA and sel ect PG students of other departments.
